A few weeks back the weather was horrible - cold and wet. So we spent the day inside. I decided to have a little fun and created a t-shirt to wear during one of my favorite past times.....drinking!
So here is the shirt I created. I used a combination of printable iron transfer paper, fabric, and no-sew HeatNBond. The printable iron transfer paper was used to create the text: "I drink to make other people more interesting". I found the quote off a website with all sorts of quotes relating to drinking. I used the fabric and HeatNBond to create circles and embellishments. Easy process. Iron the HeatNBond to the fabric. Cut the shapes you want out of the fabric. Iron the fabric to the t-shirt. The concentric circles and martini glass were done by layering fabric.
All in all, I think it turned out great. I wore it that night to our friends' place and everyone got a laugh. The only down side was that it didn't make it through the wash. The text bubbled up and the fabric pieces began to fray a little. I'm still searching for a way to put text on a shirt that is more permanent but still easy. Any suggestions?
