I bought Denyse Schmidt's Quilts book recently.  One of the projects was a quilted card.

The process is very simple.  You cut strips of fabric and sew them onto a piece of card stock.  You then sew diagonal lines across the fabric to make an embellishment.  Here is the first card I made.

I also made some of these up for Valentine's Day.  I used a collection of pink fabrics and followed the same process.   For an added touch, I printed on the card stock before sewing.  The printed area became the inside of the card.  I could see using this for all sorts of occasions!
